Job Description:
－ Title: Home Support Worker
－ NOC: NOC 44101
－ Position(s) Available: 3
－ Work Location(s): 3315 Coldstream Ave., Vernon, British Columbia, V1T 1Y1
－ Weekly Hours: 30 to 40 hours
－ Compensation: $23.90 per hour
Benefit:
－ 10-day paid vacation per annum
Job Requirements:
－ Some secondary school education is required.
－ Some home management experience or certificates in related field is an asset.
Job Responsibilities:
－ Offer care and companionship to individuals and families during times of disability, recovery, or family upheaval.
－ Provide bedside and personal care to clients, including helping with walking, bathing, personal cleanliness, and putting on or taking off clothes.
－ Plan and prepare meals and specialized diets, and feed clients or help them eat.
－ Carry out basic health-related tasks like changing non-sterile bandages, assisting with giving medications, and collecting samples, all under the general guidance of a home care agency supervisor or nurse.
－ Handle routine household chores such as doing laundry, washing dishes, and making beds.
