General Construction Labourer

Via Real Estate is a provider of construction, development, and real estate services. We are hiring 3 General Construction Labourer positions in Burnaby, BC.

Job Description:

·         Title: General Construction Labourer

·         NOC: 75110

·         Position(s) Available: 3

·         Work Location(s): Burnaby, BC V5H 4T2 & varied construction sites

·         Weekly Hours: 30-40

·         Compensation: $20.77 per hour

Job Requirements:

·         No degree, certificate, or diploma is required

·         Relevant experience is an asset. Will train.

·         Basic English communication skill is required.

Job Responsibilities:

Ÿ   Load and unload construction and renovation materials, and move related materials to assigned workplace

Ÿ   Assist in erecting scaffolding and ladders

Ÿ   Prepare and assist in construction and renovation materials including concrete, paints, etc.

Ÿ   Follow the supervisor’s guidelines and safety procedures

Ÿ   Operate tools and equipment following licensees’ instructions and operational manuals

Ÿ   Provide necessary assistance to painters, constructors, framers, electricians, plumbers, etc.

Ÿ   Track and place orders with partnered suppliers to maintain the inventory of necessary materials

Ÿ   Clean up worksites and transport debris and trash to the landfill sites

Ÿ   Pack and upload all materials, tools, and machines to trucks upon project completion

Ÿ   Perform all other necessary activities per request
