We are responsible for providing all of the material, labor, equipment such as engineering vehicles and tools, and services necessary for the renovation project, and performing the renovation work.

Job Description:

· Title: Floor Tile Layer

· Position(s) Available: 3

· Work Location(s): 2-5136 Imperial St Burnaby BC V5J 1E2

· Weekly Hours: 35

· Compensation: $27.5 per hour

Benefit:

· 10-day paid vacation per annum

Job Requirements:

· Completion of secondary school  is required

· Four years of related experience or completion of a two year apprenticeship program .

· Completion of the interprovincial Red Seal examination is an asset.

Job Responsibilities:

·  Read blueprints and cut, install, polish and surface granite and marble;

· Measure, cut and install tile floor and ensure accuracy during the installation process for lasting results;

· Install hardwood floors, such as strip floors, block floors or plank floors, using glue, staples, nails or other means;

· Shape tile beds using concrete, plaster, mastic, cement, glue or mortar utilizing tools;

· Measure, cut and install resilient floor covering using adhesive, rollers and other hand tools;

· Stretch carpeting using knee-kicker or power stretcher and secure carpeting to floor or other surfaces using staple gun or other devices;

· Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings;

· Keep the work area clean and safe, and adhere to safety regulations and guidelines.
