Air Conditioning Technician
BCS Cooling and Heating Ltd. is hiring 1 Air Conditioning Technician (NOC 7313) position in Burnaby, BC.
Job Description:
- Title: Air Conditioning Technician (NOC 7313)
- Vacancy: 1 position
- Location: varied building sites in Burnaby, Vancouver, New West, Delta, Surrey and Richmond
- Compensation: $31.5/hour
- Hours: 35 hours/week
- Benefits: 10-day paid vacations & 2-day unpaid sick days per annum
Job Requirements:
- Completion of secondary school is required.
- Completion of a traineeship program OR 2-3 years of relevant working experience is required
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform inspection, maintenance, repairs, and installation of air conditioning systems.
- Read and understand blueprints, drawings, or other specifications.
- Measure air conditioning components for installation.
- Assemble and install refrigeration or air conditioning components such as motors, controls, gauges, valves, circulating pumps, condensers, humidifiers, evaporators and compressors using hand and power tools
- Install, troubleshoot and overhaul entire heating, ventilation, air handling, and air conditioning systems.
- Work with hand and power tools to install air conditioning components such as motors, controls, gauges, and valves.
- Repair and replace parts and components for heating, ventilation, air handling, and air conditioning systems and carry out maintenance checks.
- Recharge system with specified types and amount of refrigerant, check and test regulators, calibrate the system, and perform routine maintenance or servicing.
- Measure and cut piping, and connect piping using welding and brazing equipment
- Startup system and test for leaks using testing devices
