The Sushi Maki Japanese Cuisine is a signature Japanese cuisine in downtown Vancouver. We have a variety of selections for takeout or dine-in choices. Available for pickup or delivery by ordering online.
Job Description:
- Title: Cook (NOC 6322)
- Vacancy: 1 position
- Location: 989 Hornby St, Vancouver, BC V6Z 1V3
- Compensation: $16.5/hour
- Hours: 40 hours/week
- Benefits: 10-day paid vacations & 2-day unpaid sick days per annum
Requirements:
- Completion of secondary school is required.
- Experience in commercial cooking is an asset but not required. We will provide training.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, such as tempura, noodle soup, and grills.
- Inspect kitchens and food service areas.
- Plan menus, determine the size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies.
- Clean kitchen and work areas.
- Collaborate with other cooks and helpers.
- More duties might be included if needed.
