Job Description:
- Title: Editor (NOC 5122)
- Location: 1B-1455 Waverley Street, Winnipeg MB R3T 0P7
- Compensation: $25.66/hour
- Position Available: 1
- Hours: 35/week (Mon-Fri 9am-17pm with 1-hour unpaid break)
- Benefits: 2-week paid vacation per annum; Group Benefits (Health, Drugs, Dental, Vision) after probation period
Job Requirements:
- Completion of university degree in relevant filed or equivalent experience is required.
- 2+ years of experience in journalism, writing, publishing or a related field are or relevant field are required.
- Must fluent in English in Speaking, Writing, Reading, and Listening.
- Must fluent in Chinese Mandarin in Speaking, Writing, Reading, and Listening.
- Must have experience of journalism writing in Chinese.
- Able to speak Cantonese is an asset.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform content management and subscriber engagement for IDO Media social media accounts, websites, APPs, and publications.
- Write, translate, and edit news, stories, articles, journals, etc. in both Chinese and English per requested.
- Manage and update company’s and clients’ websites, social media accounts, and communications regularly.
- Write and edit articles for Chinese social medias, APPs, websites, and publications.
- Write advertisements and promotional articles for marketing clients.
- Cooperate with sales department to implement clients’ marketing projects.
- Monitor and analyze accounts’ daily flow rate, generate monthly reports to General Manager and Executive Editor to improve performance.
- Interview, take photos and video, write news and articles.
- Plan and implement promotional activities to attract followers and subscribers.
- May complete other tasks assigned by General Manager and Executive Editor.
