Marketing Manager

The Cowichan Valley Capitals are a Junior "A" ice hockey team based in Duncan, British Columbia, Canada. The Cowichan Capitals Junior A Club is the member of the Island Division in the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) and plays home games at Island Savings Centre. 

Job Description: 

- Title: Marketing Manager (NOC 0124) 

- Work Location: 2687 James Street Duncan BC V9L 2X5 

- Compensation: $39.32/hour 

- Hours: 30/week (Full-Time) 

- Benefit: 2-week paid vacation per annum 

Job Requirements: 

- A university degree or college diploma in business administration field is required. 

- At least 5 years in Ice Hockey sport related experience is required. 

- Knowledge and experience of understanding ice hockey sport. 

- Able to use English at professional workplace is required. 

Job Responsibilities: 

- Establish and implement marketing promotions for both paper and digital medias.   

- Establish, implement, and evaluate communicating and marketing strategies and plans to promote the Cowichan Capitals. 

- Establish a team and procedures; hire, train, and promote talented employees. 

- Lead the team to implement marketing projects to achieve short and long terms objectives. 

- Establish and develop internal departments and relevant operational procedures and bulletins.   

- Develop partner relationships within province, domestic, and international to promote ice hockey sport as well as the Cowichan Capitals club. 

- Develop other channels to help the club to increase revenues. 

- Represent the company to negotiate and collaborate with third parties.  

- May complete other tasks assigned by the general manager.
